Fear Factor or Phenom Unleashed??
« on: December 02, 2003, 07:47:06 AM »
Hi , i have myself a dilemma , two suggestions have been given to me about the ball i should be using , im looking to buy a new one asap. i was told about the fear factor and the phenom unleashed. I play a big hook ( im a righty) and am looking for a nice sharp break in the backend , ive been bowling for about a year or so , and my average is upwards of 180 and need some help finding a ball to use. like i said , the ideal ball is a sharp break in which i can use in medium -  heavy oil . thanks for all your help. ( sorry i couldnt give you more personal stats , i.e. mph , revs etc. but i just havent been involved long enough to know any of them yet. ) I NEED THE BIG HOOK !

If you want big back ends, buy the Fear Factor and shine it.  Very nice length and back end, but gotta have some oil.  (300/837 12/1/03!!!!)

If you want raw hook, the Phenom Unleashed hooks as much as anything out there.  This ball hits like a ton of bricks too, but you gotta have ALOT of oil.

hope this helps ya....

My suggestion would be the Phenom Unleashed. I have both, and the Fear Factor covers more boards, but it rolls earlier, which is a no no for someone playing a big hook.

The Phenom Unleashed covers just a hair under the boards that the Fear Factor does, but most of the reaction the Unleashed gives is in the backend of the lane. At the pins, the Unleashed is stronger and definately sends more messengers flying.

goodluck with your decision
