I have a chance to pick up a FIRED UP for a decent price. I already have a STRIKE ZONE for oily lanes and a MORICH ONSLAUGHT for the drier lanes. My question is, is the FIRED UP a good ball for medium lanes. I need something between the two balls that I already have and looking this up on their web-site, it looks good, but want other opinions of people who have thrown this ball.

Its a good ball for mediums. I get more back end than I need from it to be honest but thats not really bad. Its a little prone to being squirty though. I would say get it and drill it with a pin under ring drill for a little control. The hit is GREAT I almost never have an issue if I am in or around the pocket. I hear the newer green ball in the Fire line is pretty much the same but less propensity to be over/under. If the price is truely right then grab it.

Ok, how is this going to stack up against my STRIKE ZONE? I am looking for roughly the same reaction for medium lanes.

The strike zone and Fired up are too different animals. The fired up is going to give you 3-5ft more length, and tons more backend, assuming OOB on the strike zone. The strike zone will handle more oil than the fired up as well.

I usually don't like storm equipment but I must say the fired up is one ball that impressed me. The ball could definetly handle medium oil. Ball goes fairly long and as pretty decent amount of backend. If I had the chance to pick one up at a decent price I would probably go for it
