What would be a good replacement for the Ragin' Banshee
« on: June 07, 2007, 12:21:10 AM »
I just got back to using Storm bowling balls, and I have aquired a used Ragin' Banshee that I really like using it in my Summer Leagues.  I was thinking of getting something new in time for my fall league and would like to try Storm's newest selections.  Is there anything in Storm's current and upcoming lineup that is equivalent to the Ragin' Banshee?

Since the Ragin was Pearl Particle, I would say the Pyro would be ideal...even though the numbers are a bit stronger.  I would venture to guess that the upsomcing Sure Fire would be a very close match in reaction.  The Ragin Banshee's that I have seen have been early rolling and smoooooooth.  So even with a stronger core, the stronger numbers would make up for the lack of particles in the cover.  And a hybrid coverstock screams SMOOOTH.

There is no current Storm replacement for the Ragin'.  The Pyro is MUCH stronger than a Ragin'  I use my Ragin' for a burnt heads + carrydown shot.  You may want to take a look at the Roto Grip Venus.  It is much closer in specs. and reaction.

I will probably give the Venus a look.  I'm open to trying any company. If Roto Grip has the ball that would be the perfect replacement for the Ragin Banshee, then I will definitely try them.
