The diagrams on the website aren't necessarily accurate.  Lord knows I don't hook the ball anywhere near as much as the examples on the website show on fresh oil.  According to it, I should be getting about 1.5 - 2 times as much hook as a stroker than I really do.  It's just meant as a baseline for comparing the shape of the reaction on the out-of-box condition.

If you are looking for a arc, you might be able to get that to some degree with a Fired Up/Spit Fire (they're very similar balls--the only difference is the color and the weight block is flipped on the Spit Fire so you don't drill into it).  However, it is meant to be more of a skid/snap ball.  I have my Spit Fire drilled for length and it definately has a skid/snap look, but it does have a fair bit of mid-lane read.  If you bring the pin down more, you might get a little more of an arcing shot.  It would be a good ball for a medium oil shot.

For a ball that truly has a strong arc, but it may be too much ball if there's not a lot of oil on the lane, the Special Agent is incredible.  Even with mine drilled with a higher pin position for some length, it still has a very smooth reaction and incredible pin action.  However, it will be too much ball once the heads get dry or on lighter oil shots in general.  It will roll out and not carry well if it doesn't have some oil.

As far as other options, I'll have to leave that up to other members to help you out since those are the only things I'm throwing right now other than an Ebonite Total NV I've got sanded down for an in-between reaction compared to the other two balls.  I'm also bowling only in a PBA Experience league this summer, so that means I've been bowling on heavier oil shots.

Im going to drill my 2nd Fired Up today. It is the most SKID SNAP ball i have ever thrown. My 1st Fired Up is drilled Pin right of ring for max skid snap and it does. Probaly the best bowling ball i have ever thrown. It has 1000 games and still hits like it did the first day. My 2nd Fired Up will ether be drilled pin under ring or pin under center of the bridge. On my 2nd Fired Up im gonna take a little bit of the polish off and scuff it up. I have never thrown the Spitfire and i dont know why but in the future ill be getting the Spit and Sure Fire.

Ive heard that the Fire Up is a great ball. I know its a big favorite of a few pros on tour but the problem is they discontiued the ball so they are going to be hard to get. I know I can get one cause I want one to but I'm not paying what our local bowling center wants for it. I would wait till the sure fire comes out at the end of the month I think this will be a great ball that will do some damage out on tour.

Funny that someone calls a Fired Up or Spit Fire old technology compared to a T-Road. Quick history lesson, T-Road is short for Thunder Road, back in the mid-90's people were calling that ball the T-Road. LOL And the Thunder core has been around since the mid-90's compared to the Fired Up/Spit Fire core that came out in the 2000's. When did new become "old technology"?

You cannot go wrong with any of those balls, but the Fired Up would be my last choice for you as the Fired Up wants to skid-snap by nature.

To get a decent answer you'd really have to give your specs, current equipment and typical lane condition.

I can however offer some idea of the differences in the Spit fire and Fired Up without such.  The two balls have the exact same cover finished to the exact same grit and polished with the exact same polish.  The core numbers are also quite similar.  For most, carrying both balls with the same drilling would be pointless.  There are however some subtle differences.  The varied location of the flip caps in the two balls generally makes the fired up the flippier of teh two, while the Spit fire seems to rev up a tad quicker.  Moreover drilling into the cap can change the differential.  The differential of a ball will always change to a degree after drilling, but the change is more pronounces when drilling into the relatively denser flip cap.
