I have a long, span and a pap that is far from my center of grip (or so I am told)

see stats for exact numbers.

now i have a T-Road pearl on order and was thinking of drilling it with a 6 inch pin above the bridge, with a 5 inch CG,

my friend warned me that this may cause the flare rings to overlap essentially killing the already mild reaction the long drilling would give me .

now most of my stuff already has long pin to pap lengths ( the shortest being 4.5 the longest be 5.5.

but I have never pushed 6... anyone else try this?

Specifically with a T-Road pearl?

what did you guys get from it. ?

My dad drilled up an Action Attack the other night. He's likewise got a PAP somewhere between 5.5" and 6", I can't remember the number off-hand. He got a 6 inch pin from PAP distance as well, putting the pin over his middle finger. The ball gets through the heads so well and has a nice pop when it gets to the backends. For him, with his tons of forward roll and little side rotation, it doesn't exactly flip and make a left turn, but it has a nice strong finish and covers a good number of boards. Great pin action. However, he also has a slower ball speed (around 13-14mph usually) to give the ball a little more chance to grab the lanes.
