To answer the posed questions about a layout for yourself. i don't know what the Jr gold conditons are like so your asking the wrong dude there.
to answer the other questions like why is this ball so good? is it all hype and propaganda? and if it is so great why so?
about the ball's surface, it is 500 grit abba or wtv it is. the ball is very tackey like it was just hit with some clean n dull.
continuing....
this ball features a 5 second spin time. only 4 other balls feature spin times this fast presently. 2 of them are track balls. 2 of them are now storm balls and the new roto epic battle (will) feature a spin time as low.
With spin times so low the ball wants to roll out quickly but it in effect it creates huge amounts of flare potential. Since the ABC/USBC has limited the diff number to 0.060 you can't make a ball flare more with a higher differential you now have to use the other potential axis to create more differential.
Now balls can still have high flare potentials with diffs under the sixty limit. The rules have been changed to limit how far they can go with cores as to numbers but of course rules are broken and ways around them can be discovered. This core is very strong, with high flare potential built into it. like morich balls it can be a love hate relationship for some. If the imporper layout is used the ball won't deliver the results. I learned this on my own paradigm. I have presenty up until this momment not been a huge fan of Asymetricals for myself.I found they all hook set or rolled out too fast. This ball revs up at the breakpoint then makes a direction change and it's entry angle is aggressive.
I don't know why but i find pin carry with this ball is nothing short of discusting. this ball can go high flush, light mixer doesn't matter.
The surface. In the past storm re-worked there coverstocks going through monsoon, typhoon, and then SFA and Reactor, and now EOX.
The Monsoon and Typhoon for me which i had limited experience with was not impressive. the surface slides alot and reacts hard to dry. Surface is a little over under for me.
The Sfa was on the vertigo and trifecta which hasn't been used since was an improvement from the monsoon and typhoon, but they lacked kick in the backend, they were too smooth.
The reactor feels just like Powerkoil 18. only a little stronger. balls are even but strong down lane. very similar to Accu-tread.(My personal favorite cover)
The New EOX cover is grabbing earlier than any other, finding traction faster. On brunswick oils and some new oils they are much more slick making stuff slide. Even though it can find traction it can still finish in the backends.
This ball is gonna be dangerous.
This is how I interpt things and my views and opinions may not be shared by all. These are only opinions and should be seen only as so. Nothing more.
