Is it the ProGlide or is it Memorex?
« on: August 15, 2004, 12:53:13 PM »
Just got my Razor Wire punched.  In a mini mini review I'll tell you I'm impressed!  This is the cleanest solid coverstock I have ever thrown.
At 800 grit I can't believe the way it PRO..... Glides down the lane!

At the house I bowl famous for grabby midlanes the slightest pull is death or a 6 pin!  No push after the heads.

I got this thing for just this purpose and also added something I used to never do!  Drilling # 1 on the drill sheet a 4 X 5 with the mass bias pointing on the negative(right for me, left for you) side of the thumb.

This pro glide stuff pushes and then really doesn't move much but just wanted to flush!  Is this stuff like Flexcel, some sort of less reactive stuff!

Anyway back to my first question.

Is it the Proglide or is it memorex, is it the Pro Glide or is it the drilling I've hardly ever used because it used to get too far the lane and then attack, but on these shorter patterns I see.

Pro Glide.... Label drilling?  Which is it?

Its a combination of all 3. The coverstock is the mildest reactive that storm makes to date. 2nd is the core is not overly strong either. 3rd is the drilling. My razor at box surface is drilled a bit stronger and still gets down the lane well and controllable on the backend.
SO out of the 3 above its the coverstock that makes this clean and mellow on the back.

Lefty,

I drill all my balls this way.  I'm absolutely in love with this drilling. It makes my balls go longer with a less violent reaction in the backend. (I throw alot of hook).  My stuff still hooks, but is much more predictable for me. My average shot up from the 190's to the low 200's.  I'm looking forward to this season.  I'm setting the bar close to 210 this year.

I'm glad to hear your review.  I got a razor wire to back up my xxxtreme. I haven't thrown it yet. I'm hoping it's a good second ball.

Good Luck.
