« on: August 01, 2003, 08:58:44 AM »
Hi:

I was just wondering what the difference is between these two bowling balls? Because they are both Pearl Resins. Cause i am looking into getting one of these two just don't know which one to buy? So if anybody could please help me out i would really appreicate it?

Thanks, Craig

There is one thing about the two balls they have two different coverstocks from the 2 the blaze is a light load particle pearl and the power charge is a pearl it is the same cover stock as the too hot but has the weight block of the LRG to make it more of a hard arcing/rolling ball in stead of a skid/ snap which the blaze is more like. Also from what I heard the blaze is more for lighter shots and the power charge is more light-med. Hope it helps.

I have both the Blaze and Power Charge and agree with the replies so far.  My Blaze coverstock craves a little more attention than the Power Charge.  Blaze is more skid/snap and the Power Charge is one hard-arcing ball.  When it begins its move to the pocket, it doesn't stop.  An easy ball to adjust to lane conditions.  The Blaze is a little more condition specific, but hand position and speed makes it adjustable to different conditions.  I have noticed that the Blaze skids slightly on carrydown when swung out a little, but the cadmium particles in the coverstock will tend to hold and cut through that same carrydown if the ball is already making the move toward the pocket.

If only by core dimensions alone....the Charge is a rolling ball with it's lower RG, and the Blaze is more skid-flip with it's taller core.
