Vertigo vs. Passion
« on: April 10, 2006, 12:22:57 PM »
I'm having a problem with one house. I'm being forced to buy a new ball because I hate to struggle. My question is what ball hooks more on conditions that have oil out to the pins. I have a Vertigo and it does not move. The only ball that has worked is my Triple-X. But I have to ease way up on the speed. Does the Passion have what it takes to break through the oil? Or should I get another Vertigo and have it drilled to hook out of the house?

The Vertigo is a early rolling smooth ball, the triple X is a ball with alot more backend reaction so it sounds like you need something with backend reaction, with some surface. The Passion would be a great choice.

You may need to have you Vertigo resurfaced to factory 800. I've had to do this a few times with mine.

The Passion is probably the better way to go.  You could also try sanding your Vertigo down to 500 and see if that helps.
