Russell is pretty right on with the assumption. The Frantic I use at a house with beat up wood because it clears the fronts better and I can control it down the lane. Don't get me wrong, I have friends who have Frantic's drilled stronger so I've seen them work on oil too. As for the Crossroad, it is very controllable as it does read the lane sooner. The Crossroad has been lights out for me at the houses I bowl where there is a normal amount of oil. I did try the Crossroad at the wood house and the lanes won after 5 frames of forcing it. I'm sure those bowlers with less revolutions will do fine on those patterns on the medium-light side.
Mr. Straight Ball,
"and the lanes won". I love the choice of wording and the image.
I'm sure based on your accomplishments that many days we can say...."and the lanes lost"! and the "pins were punished". Oh the few days I get to say that, but they are SO fun when I can!
