Get a Domination or a shift?
« on: March 27, 2007, 11:47:43 PM »
Im trading off one of my Total NV and Im really interested in a shift, but I was offered a domination.  Any thought or Ideas about this?  I know it all depends on my game and the conditions, but overall what one is a better ball?
Thanks in advance,
Brandon

Brandon,

If you are looking for a one to one comparison with a Total NV then you may want to look at a Domination.  Both have reasonable length with a strong move off the breakpoint.

If you are looking for a totally different look I'd get a Shift.  The Shift will probably play in similar conditions - but it will help blend out wet/dry and handle carrydown better.  The Shift will be smoother than the Total NV - i.e. not as sharp of a turn - but it will read the pattern earlier and give you a more predictable reaction.

Brandon,

I watched a buddy of mine throw his new shift and his TNV the other day.  The previous post is right on. The TNV is definitly has more angle and the shift seemed to be much smoother rolling in. Either one is great, but if I was in that realm of ability, I would probably lean towards the Shift.

Depends on your conditions I'd say.  If you're on heavier oil and play the outside I'd have to lean towards the domination, the extra skid/snap absolutely dominates the oil (fitting name)

If you're a medium/oily condition the shift is definitely the way to go.  Don't get me wrong, you can throw the shift on heavy oil, but I'd take a Domination over a Shift on heavy patterns any day

The good news is, you can't go wrong either way!

I normally like the skid snap factor in a ball.  I think the shift would just be too smooth for me haha!!!! I dont know, They both are great balls it looks like.  If you would compair those two to another ball (s) what ones would they be?
