Hello everyone. As the title says, I need a bit of ball advice. I haven't bowled for 5-6 years, but I joined my local league and am about to start again and I was wondering what would be a good (ie. modern) replacement for my Storm Trauma ER and X-Factor (original) bowling balls? I carried a 190-195 average with each ball and I'd consider myself average speed and revs.
The lanes at my local bowling alley are all over the place...sometimes dry as a bone, sometimes I believe that the owner is the leading stockholder in the oil company because he pours it on so thick that if you stepped onto the lanes, you'd probably sink in it.
My style is tweener, I guess. I do occasionally throw it harder, but most of the time it's around the same speed as everyone else. I probably do throw a few more revs than most others, but it's not crazy like Sean Rash or anything.
What I loved about my other two Storms is the insane hook right before it hit the pins. The X-Factor was the logical progression after my Trauma ER, but I couldn't find any lists where I could see what the replacement for the X-Factor, unfortunately.
I could probably get away with a cheaper ball, but I figure if I'm going to spend money, I might as well get the best I can get.
Am I looking for something like the Storm Vivid? Storm IQ? I'm open to suggestions. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to ask.
