How would you drill the natural...
« on: December 17, 2009, 02:20:11 PM »
If you were me... I am a high tracker... More up the back of the ball with 300 RPM's. I am not as technical as you guys are. But i need a ball for game 1.5-3.
Kind of a tweener.
My arsenal...
1. Scorchin inferno, 600
2. Hammer Big Block Diesel, 1000 abralon
3. The one, 2000 abralon
4. Angular One, Box

Lanes dry out and i am tired of fighting over under for game 1.5-3. They really dry out and i am playing 4th arrow and i need something else. So mom bought me the natural for christmas. Going to get it drilled straight 1:30 like every thing else i have. Unless i get better recomendations.

Thanks

Nothing wrong with that. Especially if that layout works well for you. Being urethane, I have found that the layout is not as critical as it is with a reactive ball. More importantly, you may have to adjust the surface. In box surface, the Natural hooks quite a bit on dry lanes. I have mine with a coat of Storm Reacta Shine and it gets a little bit better length through the dry heads. It has become one of my favorite balls, even on fresh conditions. I had forgotten what a pleasure it is to throw urethane! So smooth and forgiving, yet it carries well, too.

If you feel you need lots of help from the core, go 3 to 4" pin.  If you feel you need less, go 5" pin to pap.  I used it on a fresh house shot during the open house.  It still hooked a fair amount considering.....
