I'm having some troubles on dryer lanes. i currently use an emerald vibe and a rayzr for dryer lanes, but want to get one ball to over lap both of them. the next ball up from those 2 is my 2nd dimension which is my go to ball. out of the neptune and natural, which do you feel would be a better choice? thanks!

oh i wasnt planning to carry ALL of my dryer lane stuff. just wanna take out the vibe and rayzr and replace them with ONE ball. natural did stand out to me but so did that neptune. decisions decisions.. whats your take?

Both are really good on dry lane conditions.  If I want a ball reaction to be more angular and agressive on the backend, I go with the Neptune. The Neptune to me is a stronger ball than the ratings would indicate when it hits friction.  If the reaction I'm looking for is a smooth and controlled arc downlane, I roll the Natural.  As was mentioned by someone earlier in the thread, those with a stronger hand and rev rate will find that this is a versatile   Both balls store energy until they reach the pindeck and drives through to take out single or corner pins.

I don't have the Mars, but I do have the Neptune & Pluto.  All the Planet series balls have the same core so the coverstocks really dictate the way they roll downlane.  One of the guys on my team rolls the Mars and it gets through the heads like the Neptune but is doesn't have the big skid-snap move when it hits the drier backend it arcs into the pocket and to me has a more controlled look downlane.  The Mars doesn't roll out & stores its energy to drive through the pindeck with excellent carry (as do the other Planet balls).  The Neptune has the same energy through the pindeck but makes a more pronounced snap move through the pocket.  You may still be able to find a Neptune out in local pro shops in town, on Ebay or other online bowling sites.  You get a lot of performance at a very modest price from Roto Grip so you can't lose either way.
