Storm's POLISHES

What is the difference between Storm's Xtra Clean and Storm's Reacta Clean?

Is one strornger than the other? What is the best use for each of the above 2 cleaners? What is each one's purpose?

And about Storm's Reacta Clean (reactive cleaner) and Storm's Mega Bite (particle cleaner)... I wonder if they are too strong to use after EVERY bowling session... in the sense similar to that of Track's Clean N' Dull which was said to be just a deep cleaner that was too strong to use after EVERY league session and was recommended to use ONLY every 3-4 weeks and NOT after EVERY league set.

Is it better to use Storm's Xtra Clean (on reactive and particle balls) after EVERY league set... and just use the Reacta Clean (for reactives) and Mega Bite (for particles) about every 3-4 weeks just to give a good deep cleaning? OR... was the Reacta Clean and Mega Bite designed to use after EVERY bowling session?

Thanks!

Ric, I don't know if you have tried the reacta shine yet, but that polish/cleaner really cleans both pearl and solid reactive balls very well, I infact use it myself after every time I bowl. And Ric, both those cleaners are safe to use after every set or series. I personally like the reacta shine because of it being more of a paste, compared to being totally liquid. But the difference is that the extra clean is water based and the reacta clean is different.

I use xtra-clean everytime I finish bowling.  It cleans everything off easily and all my equipment performs like new.

Once a month or so, I'll use clean and dull and wipe that off with xtra-clean.

I had reacta-clean in the past and didn't notice anything better or worse about it compared to xtra-clean.

I am not sure what the difference is either.  I will say Reacta Clean is pretty comparable to Track Power Wash (or now Ebonite Power Wash).  I have never used XTRA Clean.

Reacta clean is alcohol-based, so it has restrictions on airplane travel.  Xtra clean is water-based and it has no travel restrictions.

I general I use Reacta Clean - but I keep a bottle of Xtra clean in my bag just in case it really needs it during play.  Although Reacta Clean is legal for use during play it is my opinion that is alters the reaction a bit (makes the ball more tacky) and Xtra does not.

I e-mailed STORM with this question and they replied back with a different answer then what I would have thought!

They say that Xtra Clean is stronger than Reacta Clean (I thought the opposite).

Here's STORM's reply to my question below:

quote:
Ric Clint,

Thank you for the e-mail,

The Reacta Clean is designed to be used after every session. The Extra Clean is stronger and to be used when the ball has marks that the Reacta Clean will not remove. The Mega Bite is a particle cleaner and can be used after every session. Use the Extra Clean every 3 to 4 weeks for a more thorough cleaning. The Extra Clean is for more stubborn residue that won’t come off with Reacta Clean, and is stronger then the Reacta Clean, and is not recommended to be used after every bowling session.

Thank you,

Doesn't STORM's reply go against what we all thought???

Thanks!

yes, I agree Ric, any cleaner that is water based will "not" be stronger, its that simple. I have a question, I really like the reacta shine because of it being more of a paste, does reacta clean have the same consistency?

Reacta Shine is a polish/cleaner (pastey type thing) and Reacta Clean is a liquid spray cleaner.

Wow!  Really?  I gotta tell you this is not my experience.  Xtra Clean seems to be to be much weaker and much less abrasive than Reacta Clean.

Yeah, Storm's response caught me by surprise, too!

I thought the Reacta Clean would have been stronger than the Xtra Clean, but Storm says differently ???
