surefire

got a used surefire in a trade. threw for a few games but realy got the sense this little gem is all about control.  pin in ring cg stacked no wt holes.  never ever got it to jump just a slow arc.  my guess is this baby but might just what the doctor ordered at the ABC NATIONALS.  anyone have experience using this ball on tough shots?

I had a couple of them. Control is an understatement. I had some great numbers on patterns with more friction (shorter) because it arced at the breakpoint instead of jumping. I really like this ball on the Viper and Chetah PBA X patterns for our sport league.

It didn't seem to be for the masses as it was not a "typical" Storm reaction and would scare off the folks looking for the "stand left, chuck it somewhere to the right" reaction.

Nice arsenal ball and could be the saving grace on shorter sport patterns when everything is over reacting at the spot.

I threw it league last night and it reacted really nicely but man there is nothing but arc out of this thing.  you are right though I could see this thing being killer on shorter wet dry shots as it appears to be ebst when friction is available.

I agree with Mike, I threw my Sure Fire on the Viper this summer and had exceptional control, as you say it is a very smooth arc no hard move off the dry.

You can't go wrong with using the Sure Fire on THS or PBA patterns. It can handle medium to med/heavy oil with no problem and it is stronger on the midlane than what most people think it is but doesn't overreact on the backend. Viper and Chameleon is a very good pattern to use it on, one of the best medium oil balls I've had this past year.
