It will slow down once it gets a little bit of a track on it and/or it gets some oilsoak in the cover. My Gravity and Attitude were real jumpy off the spot until they got some oil in the cover. Now they are great compliments to one another.
If it is really jumpy, you could have your driller plug and redrill it with the pin under and the pin closer to 5 1/2 from PAP. The pin under will slow down the response to the friction and the longer Pin-to-PAP will cut back on the track flare.
The motor in the Shift series is really strong and combine that with an updated version of the R2S coverstock (R2X), makes for a ball that has a strong cover/strong motor. On these balls, you might err on the cautious side with pin-to-pap distances closer to 5-6" range. You may even want some key placements in the 15*-45* range. This will help the ball bleed off some energy and roll up vs snap up on the back ends. My Attitude is 5" x 30* x 35* (pin up) and my Gravity is 4.5" x 55* x 65* (pin under). Even though the key on the Gravity is in a stronger position, the pin under keeps the reaction off the friction rollier vs snappier.
