Any Advice to fix this problem?  Should I sand it down to 800??  Its oob is 1500, Doesn't hook at all for me, unless its dry, The layout is 4 1/2 X 4.  My Eraser Banshee Hooks alot better than the Fired Up.  Any Advice? Thanks!

Put more forward roll and less side roll on it.

I have one, and when the condition was a bit oiler, I would get the ball through the breakpoint.  What I did, was use a white scotch pad, which is about 1100, and I hand clean it with that.  Now, I get the length from being a pearl ball, but I get a more consistent break point with a very nice backend...I would not recommend going lower than that with the coverstock, not really designed for that...

wow you are a no handed fruit.  You mide as well goto big b.  If you aint getting a fired up to move my god there is no hope for you this is one of the strongest pearls i have everownedin my life if not the strongest all to gether hop ethat works for you i suggest getting a scorching inferno for you and  sand it to 400 so you can move a ball with all of your amount of hand.

Yeah, I didn't like my Fired Up either, but yes, it hooked PLENTY.  Very strong for a pearl ball.  I'd compare it to the Raging Red Fuze, but the Raging Red didn't roll out . . or hit flat . .

Wow maybe you guys need to see a new pro shop and get one drilled properly for your style, they are a hit every where around here.  I bought one and had litterally 4 people ask me what I was throwing the first night I was using it, it gets long and gets strong, o and on a side note I have NEVER had this thing hit weak.  It is much like a red fuze except I don't leave 4 weak ten pins a game with the fired up.  To me this is the BEST ball in the storm line and I can find you many who would agree. Its a paradigm at half the cost.

I agree with RevLefty that this is the strongest pearl ball that I've ever thrown.  I've got it drilled with the pin slightly to the right of the ring finger, the cg kicked in a little and the MB either just underneath the thumb or underneath and to the right a little bit.  For my style, this is drilled to roll long and have more of an arc back to the pocket.  One of the houses I bowl at is pretty dry, especially outside 5 and this ball just tears that house to shreds.  This ball has the strongest backend of any ball I've ever thrown, period.  So I think you may want to go back to the pro shop and have the ball redrilled to roll a little earlier or change your axis of rotation to put a little more forward roll on the ball so it'll start to move sooner.  This is especially true since I believe the layout described is a "stacked layout", which I believe is designed for bowlers with more forward roll and less side roll unless the backends are really dry.

It may not be exactly the same, but I have a Paradigm that's drilled 4x4, and I'm having similar trouble with it.  I usually bowl with around 45 degrees of axis rotation of my hand and this ball would hit the oil and skid way to long and not make it back.  I explained this to my pro shop operator and he asked me to try bowling with a little more forward roll because of the way the ball is drilled.  It was much more consistent that way, but I'm going to change the drill to a 5 x 3 to make it a little more versatile.   Anyway, I hope some of this helps.
