Halo/Idol cover maintenance
« on: January 30, 2019, 02:17:48 PM »
Feedback please. I have an Idol, purchased from Ebay, and a NIB Halo that I punched about 3 weeks ago. The Idol seemed to lose a bit too much reaction a bit too fast, at least when compared with everything else. I know that's subjective, but it didn't bother me  too much because it was used and I haven't done an extraction (other than CND). I do regular maintenance at the end of set with Power Wash also.

The Halo seems to have the same characteristic after 8-10 games total. I know the covers are the same, that's not the point. Now I can see that it's the cover and not the used nature of the Idol. Any known issues with high maintenance, more than normal scuffing, anything at all on these balls?

Just curious. I love both balls, but they seem to need more than my other equipment.

TIA

Yes, and my point was that the stronger the cover is, the more maintenance it's going to need, and seeing as how this cover needs more maintenance . . it's not an opinion, you're absolutely right.  It shines quicker and needs more maintenance because it is the strongest Nano formulation that either company has released.  I was basically saying you asked and answered your own question . .

Luke, I re-read your post. I respect you a ton, brother, but I still maintain that all my stuff is high end and this cover needs more than the typical maintenance on all my other Storm gear.  It's an opinion, I'm entitled to it, and that's ok.... That's why I'm asking others if they see the same thing, right?  :)
