Has anyone tried the Jolt Particle?
« on: July 09, 2007, 07:25:45 AM »
I'm a newly returned bowler looking to complete a 3 ball arsenal. I have a Thunderstruck Solid for mid oil conditions and a Tropical Storm for lighter oil and drier conditions. Now I need something for heavier oil as well as longer patterns and for when carry down exists. I know Storm has a lot of good options that can handle heavy oil but I haven't heard much at all about the Jolt Particle and was wondering if that could be a viable option for what I would want it for? Besides the obvious other choices I have such as the Special Agent, Secret Agent and Domination, My pro shop also has an undrilled Trifecta which I've been thinking about trying as well.

I would probably describe myself as a Tweener/Stroker who prefers to make hand adjustments as opposed to speed adjustments. I like keeping it med to med/fast with my index finger under the ball for my release. Last year I played primarily on a house with wooden lanes which is making the switch to synthetic for the coming league season. Last year, the conditions were pretty dry a lot of the time but with the change to a synthetic surface, I'm expecting to see more oil and more carry down for this season. Any suggestions and thoughts would be appreciated.

I have the Jolt particle drilled 4 1/2 pin to pap, it has been a great surprise of how good a ball it is. I also just got a Blast Zone and have not loved it at all yet with the same drilling on it.

I had a trifecta when they first came out and did not like it at all, you might to consider the Odyssey or Epic Battle though made by Roto-grip they are both great bowling balls.

I don't know about others...but I bowl in a house with a lot of carrydown on the left.

Oil at 5:30 am and then lots of plastic backup balls on the left all day.

I usually find that I need either stronger core balls to hit on this condition on Brunswick synthetics...OR I need a weeker core drilled moderately strong but with a reaction enhancing weighthole on this carrydown...ie past VAL from grip center!
