help
« on: December 13, 2012, 02:01:32 PM »
i have a pair of dexter sst8se that i bought back in sept and how i drag my food misses the toe cap and wears off the shoe sidding leaving a residue on the lanes. i saw a pair of storms with the white sole that may; i would hope leave less marks.
Im really getting concerned about this due to the fact that others complain but there is nothing i could do the shoes i used to have didn't leave the marks but wore through just alot slower.
ive saw the storm shoes they look alot like the dexters, are they the same?
are they any good?
hav any of you experienced this with shoes or have ideas on how to prevent it without completly reworking my approach

Dexter is in fact making these shoes for storm. They are gonna be similar, to each other I'm sure. But alas I don't know if the storms will mark up the lanes in the same fashion.  May have to do some footwork changes.

I have the same issue with the SST8s so I switched to the 3G.  My main issue was that I went thru 3 push soles in 4 months.  The 3G have a large toe guard then seemed to make the difference.  Since that time, Dexter came out with a toe guard for the SST8.  Next pair of shoes will probably be 3G, SST6 or SST8 with the additional toe guard.
