Good ball down?
« on: February 11, 2016, 05:54:12 PM »
I currently have a roto grip haywire, hyper cell skid and a roto grip critical. What should be next under the critical/haywire? Don't know too much about hectic. Was thinking maybe phaze or fight? Hyroad? Rocket? Sky rocket?

Roto Grip is releasing the new HyWire next month. Should be the perfect step down from what you have in your arsenal. Rumor has it that's it's the hyroad cover R2S paired with the disturbed core.

Heard about it but I need something now. Everything I have is strong. I'm a 16mph high Rev bowler. I need something to go down too.

Also considering switching to 2 handed as my wrist lately has been hurting very badly. Bowled today practicing a little 2 handed and liked it and am thinking about permanently switching to it. And if I do the balls I have are definitely all strong

Suggest you contact Storm.  No one knows their equipment better then them.  Be prepared to give them detailed information about your personal bowling specs., lane conditions where you bowl, etc. which is something you did not do here.

If you want a more defined step down I would definitely go with the Hectic or maybe a Fight (polished if needed). Roto Grips HP2 line has been pretty solid though and from what I've seen with the Hectic it's a good ball. The Hy-Road, Rocket, and Sky Rocket can all be more aggressive than you think.

The Joy Ride and Loco Solid are good options as well if you to take a couple steps down. They're definitely more of your dry lanes options but both carry really well too.

I had a rocket at one point. I did like it but was looking for something newer rather than buying another. I'm still trying to decide. I'm going to go down to my pso today and talk it over with him and go from there.

I would look at the Unhinged, a Joyride and possibly a Devour? You are doing the right thing by talking it over with your ball driller.
There's two kinds of music METAL and bullshit!

Can't go wrong with the HP2 line , lots of performance for the price point.

I can't decide between the hectic or fight :( haven't seen much about the hectic but the fight really interests me. I'm just afraid the fight will be stronger than I want it to be

If your pondering the fight your most likely going to have to add some sort of polish to it.

Sky rocket is suprisingly strong but mine is drilled pin up and gets great length when it gets toasty. Clears the heads with ease and has amazing pin carry when it hits. Love mine and I didn't even want to throw it at first but my Storm Rep suggested it for me, told me I would be surprised and boy was he right!!

i agree the fight would probably be too strong. you would have to put a control layout on it and/or add polish
