Next Ball in Master Line?
« on: August 20, 2009, 03:30:04 PM »
Seems like Storm is in the midst of updating all their product lines...last and hopefully not least will be the Master Line.  My guess is the third Dimension ball will be out, but what do you all think it'll be?  Let's have some fun, and guess away!

My guess?  Brandy new coverstock, same Dimension core, a shiny solid that will fit nicely in between the two Dimensions they have now.  Perhaps, a Reactor 3 version coverstock?  And I hope it's orange or red, something eye-poppingly bright.  All Storm balls are darker and depressing :'( lol

Have you seen the new Reign?  Now that ball is definately eye-catching!  Fiery orange and red swirl (which is of course appropriate since it's the successor to the Fire Storm and the Fired Up).

I still have my money on a polished R2X Solid w/ E.T.M mica.  they put it out on a overseas ball so i know it can be done.  would be a pretty sweet ball.

for some reason I dont think we will be seeing a new coverstock.

seems like r2x isnt that old.... I know it isnt meant to be much different then r2s but they keep making reactor and r2s... stronger as they go. do we really need something stronger or more flippy?

^ I still would like to see it but it wouldnt make much sense.

I also dont think you will see a third dimension right now unless they intend to keep the 2nd as storm (recently) wants to keep 2 balls in each lineup esp. the master line. (2 virtuals, 2 dimensions, etc)

If you ask me im REALLY excited to see how they finish up the thunder line!!! the reign looks just PERFECT and wonder how can they compliment that ball... and is it going to be a three ball lineup in the thunder line again?!!?!?!?

It seems as if Storm's new plan is a solid, pearl, and hybrid for each core.  I would expect a hybrid R2X (like the VE) wrapped around the continum core.  If that is the case I'd ship it at box 4000 for a different look.

I like this idea.  Would you like to see a perfect 50/50 ratio of pearl and solid? Or one of them crazy 60/40 deals?

I dunno, not sure what would create this look but - I was thinking a bit more angular than a Dimension but not nearly the move of a 2nd D.  Kind of like a slightly longer Rogue Cell.  Something that could open up the lanes more on a fresh shot.

im not sure that storm will do three balls in their high performance lines. seems like they are only doing that with the hot and thunder line. but time will tell.

"I was thinking a bit more angular than a Dimension but not nearly the move of a 2nd D."

If you want to accomplish this, you could drill a D long and strong with polish or drill a 2D long and kick the cg to smooth out the backend and knock the shine off to fine tune it. Just seems like there isn't much separation between the balls. But is guess you could argue the same thing for the T-Road Solid/ Pearl/ and Hy-Road...
