if i have a storm hot rod for dry and a banshee for medium what is the best ball for heavy oil i play down and in but can swing with some of them out there i like the ace but does it hake enough hook for oil i want kind of a skid and snap
-
You aren't really going to get a skid/snap reaction from any heavy oil ball- the natural tendencies of heavy oilers are early rolling with more of an arcing nature. The X Factor Ace would handle medium/heavy conditions well, but if you are looking at staying with Storm I would say a Flash Flood would suit your needs best for heavy oil.

The new Atomic Charge gets very good critics as an allround ball for medium oil or more around here - even from other manufacturers' staff players. Seems to be a strong ball, should be a good addition to your proposed arsenal. Only thing missing would be a real heavy oil ball - the Fear Factor should do the job, or a simpler Flash Flood.
But I am afraid that it will be difficult to find a heavy oil ball which makes a skid/snap move. An Ace might do, but you will need high revs and a length drilling to get the ball down the lane on dry boards to grip and make its move.
Otherwise you will get a rolling ball with an arcing move down the lane.

well what ball would make sense with the banshee

Go for the Atomic Charge. Should cover a wide variety of lane conditions and work in box consition on more and heavier oil than the Banshee. And it even looks and smells quite good...

I threw a Flash flood, not mine so I can't say about drilling specs, but the few times I've seen it on heavy oil it worked well. Haven't used the Ace, but the FF seemed to handle the oil very nicely.
