Honest review of the timeless

I have always loved Luke Rosdahl's reviews. He gives his honest opinions on a ball and compares different balls. Anyway, I have been critical of how the ball will be different from the hyroad. He, apparently, felt the same as I did and gives his comparison. check it out

It's refreshing to see a reviewer be honest about a balls pro's/cons,  regardless on conditions,  or a bowlers's style (speed/revs).

Refreshing review since most if not all reviews focus on a ball's pros and not it's cons. Well done!

Did anyone see Diandra Asbatys review? This ball looks like overpriced, overhyped dog shit in a lot of hands. For the record, I'm a storm mark.

I threw it at a demo days really wanting to like it, but didn't.  I was mostly throwing it on Chameleon after the 3 games of league.  If I got enough angle through the front part of the lane, it didn't recover.  If I squared up just a little, it broke loose way too early.  The opposite was true of the No Rules Pearl.  I could get plenty deep and even with my moderate rev rate, it would always respond down lane.

I'm also not impressed with it seeing it in person, as such the ball is truly created for the 2 handers/high Rev guys; on top of that,  it's high priced,  at the high performance level,  when at most,  (just my opinion)  it's a benchmark/ slightly med/heavy condition (depending on surface),  nothing more. I'll stay with what's proven,  the famous Hyroad.

Sounds like we've got another phaze on our hands.

Im sick of Storm's hype,  with mostly no substance to it,  so glad there's different options on the market. The companies that go under the radar are the companies that produce good equipment, while being fair priced as well.

Considering he said the ball didn't match up well for him, it actually looked pretty good in that video.  This Timeless may be one of the most over-hyped balls in recent memory.  Another case of  a ball manufacturer's marketing department working overtime.  Almost every review goes out of its way to stress that "just because it has Belmo's name on it, and was designed with his input, doesn't mean it is only for 2 handers!".  Diandra's video review on IAB was pure marketing ("if you bowl, or have ever even thought about bowling, you should buy this ball!"  Come on now, that is just silly.)  Storm is simply pushing this ball too hard.

We have been able to see this ball in the hands of the pros on a couple of telecasts now.  Norm Duke threw it in the Super Clash and had some issues with corners.  On the telecast today, it wasn't a slam dunk for anyone either.  Sure, Belmo had success with it but never really got the ball to square up in to the pocket.  Larsen struggled with it.  Simonsen made a comment in his interview that the Timeless was just going too long for him.

Of the new Storm balls, the Sure Lock and Torrent seem like they have great potential for more styles of bowlers.  The Timeless is simply too gimmicky.

Maybe they need to change the RG and diff to make it a better ball.

My PSO told me that the Timeless is sold out(15LBS) and that storm has a massive back order. Thats not including the 14LBS. ball which I throw and he can't get. So the overhype worked.
