I have always loved Luke Rosdahl's reviews. He gives his honest opinions on a ball and compares different balls. Anyway, I have been critical of how the ball will be different from the hyroad. He, apparently, felt the same as I did and gives his comparison. check it out

Also, besides Belmo, I didn't really see alot of people throwing it during qualifying over the weekend. Saw a lot of that No Rules Pearl tho... 

I actually saw a decent number of people throwing it later in the blocks.  If PDW would have switched to it earlier in his last game, he would have made the show.

The NRP was everywhere though!

To much hype for a ball that may not work for everyone!

I think if this ball was called the HY ROAD it would have the greatest reviews.

I should add one more thing.

I did own a Hy Road and it did not work well for me.  It did for the guy I gave it to and it worked well for the other bowlers that I recommended it to.  It also worked well for others that I saw using it, just not for me.  That does not make it a bad ball, just not a good match for me.  I did try different surface adjustments but rather than re-drill it, I knew someone who had close to my span that I gave it to so he only had to slug the thumb and that layout worked for him.

Did anyone see Diandra Asbatys review? This ball looks like overpriced, overhyped dog shit in a lot of hands. For the record, I'm a storm mark.

Yes! Just watched her review of this ball. All I could say was, "Nice lipstick!" The ball, even in the 360* visual looked like a dud! Nothing that a one-hander has any reason to be trying to throw! Just my opinion, but I will be staying far away from this piece.

I like the videos that Luke does. With that being said, the Timeless is slowly growing on me. Now I will say that the Hy-Road was a ball that over/undered me to sheer frustration. I couldn't square up with it because it wouldn't lay off enough, I couldn't open up my angles because if I missed it slightly at the bottom it would sail right by the break point even on over-walled house conditions.

Enter the Timeless. My first thoughts were here we go again, another Hy-Road in my hands. I was seriously considering giving it away after the first 2 times out. My PSO was sticking around while I threw it some side by side with the No Rules Pearl that I also drilled. The Timeless was slightly earlier and sometimes looked like it got kicked sideways down lane compared to the No Rules Pearl if my ball speed was too slow. He suggested that I hit the ball lightly with a 3000 pad and to make sure that I also touched the back flares of the ball a couple of times. Whole different ball game and more readable reaction arsenal wise.

I waited and got it on a house sweeper at a place that is notorious for "cliffing" them with the standard 10-10 block which is hit 11 and it's a massive washout or swishing 7-10 or hit 9 and watch it go thru the face. I started with the No Rules Pearl and got off to a great start with a small 500 series thru the first 2. The NRP was blending them out enough to even give me some hold area slightly left of target. The first 2 shots of the last game were 4 pin, then adjust the next time for a half ten. Switch to the Timeless, move 2-1 left and bang out 9 of the last 10 for a 258.

I would suggest that if you are a med speed/med rev guy like me to get out the abralon if you get a Timeless and touch that shell enough to wear the polish off. A lot of people myself included almost always hit Utah factory shined balls with abralon whether it is 4000 or sometimes 2000 to get that shine off. I do this mainly because I have a hard time getting close to replicating the factory shine but for me it takes the over/under out of play on league shots especially over-walled ones.
