of course it must be used on the right condition the ball is dark in

Minor correction:

According to the Storm website:
http://www.stormbowling.com/ball/ball.asp?ballid=179&ballname=HOT+ROD+PRO+STOCK%99

The Hot Rod Pro Stock has "MONSOONâ„¢ Solid  Reactive" coverstock, with a "1500-grit Polish" finish on it. So it's a highly polished solid resin, not a pearl.

The Monsoon coverstock is also used on the Triple X Factor as a pearl,  on the Super Charge as a dull solid, and on the Fear Factor as a medium load particle solid.
