Hy-Road and T-Road solid how do they compare?
« on: October 30, 2008, 06:31:47 AM »
I recently bought a T-Road solid and i'm very impressed with it so far.  Strong but controllable reaction.  This ball has plenty of recovery and hit's great.  I can't wait to get some more games on it this weekend.  I'm bowling on very tough patterns in my league and this ball will get plenty of use.

It looks like the new Hy-Road uses the same core?

How does the Hy-Road and T-Road solid compare?

Does the T-Road solid have a stronger cover than the Hy-Road?  If so, how does the Hy-Road compare to the TR pearl?

I'm thinking of getting the T-Road pearl to complement the Solid.

The HY-Road cover is a combination of the T-Road solid, and T-Road pearl. The Hy-Road should fall in between the solid and pearl. For me personally, hybrid covers generally give me the length of pearl, with the smooth backend of solid. Other people that I have talked to, find that the hybrid covers give them the mid-lane of a solid, with the strong backend of a pearl. It really depends on your release, ball speed, rev rate, tilt, axis of rotation, and surface prep.

Thanks for the info.

So far i'm 2 for 2 with Storm.  My first Storm ball was the paradigm and it was a great piece.  Now the T-Road solid seems like another great piece.  I can sure see more Storm equipment in my future.

Go with the pearl. I feel T Road solid and pearl is the best all around 1-2 punch out there.
