Hy-Road Solid Failure?

Where did storm go wrong with this ball? It is based on a few successful balls, it has a versatile cover, and it is supposed to be an earlier Hy-Road! Why didn't the masses enjoy this ball? Is it completely different from the T-Road Solid?

Core shape accounts for some of that. Marvel S, and the IQ series all have the same shape, and the Hyroad does not. Too strong of a cover with a big engine in it makes it possible to be a bad matchup.

So I think what I am hearing is the same core stronger cover on the HyRoad solid vs the TRoad Solid has led to problems?
Bill have you had the TRoad and the HyRoad Solids?
Any others with this same feeling with both balls?
Thanks,

i could see the strong cover in a strong core comparrison being a problem. the reign of fire had the same problem in my opinion. the majority of people being successful with both of those balls were on sport. house shots have too much friction for many to use them. the people being succeful on house shots are fluffers that go up 10

Or people that have higher ball speed pushing the ball down the lane. I am by no means a fluffer and i can move in and wheel my hyroad solid

ya that too. im just saying the ball needed someway to get the ball down lane better. either by more speed, less rev rate, less surface or more oil volume by moving in

I would probably love the Hy-Road Solid. I have a higher ball speed than most people. On the other hand, I can't imagine having a stronger T-Road. When it is clean, that thing out hooks every ball I own. It's early and very continuous.
