Virtual Energy vs the Sideways
« on: September 01, 2009, 01:38:46 AM »
I've drill both and have throw both for about a week now. When I read Sideways, I thought this ball was going to be very strong off the break point. To qualify that, I drilled the Sideways with pin under the bridge and the CG to the right of my thumb. This drilling on the Sideways gave me good length and fair break point and continuation through the pins. Extactly what I was looking for. Thanks to the drilling recommendation from Absolutebowling.

The Virtual Energy drilled pin next to ring finger CG stacked is much stronger. Gets through the heads very well, comes off the break point much harder then the Sideways and the continuation is outstanding.

I have just compared apples and oranges I know.

But the outcome was a great one two combination. Knowing when the Virtual Energy is finishg too strong and being able to change to the Sideways and still have tremendous carry is great. When i used the Sideways too early, I stung quite a few 10 pins. But now that I've throw the two quite a lot. the combination is outstanding.

Add in a Megat Friction, Gemstone and a Natural, I should be in good shape for Winter.

I did just order a second Sideways and I hope to drill it like my Virtual Energy to then have a good comparison even though I know the drillings will be similar, but ball dynamics might not be.
