Hy-Road Nano vs. Code X for heavy oil ball for a rev dom bowler

Hi all,
 Been a while since I have been able to be on, but the health reason has improved dramatically, and as such, have been cleared to bowl again among other things. I noticed an increase in volume that is significant in one of the houses I bowl at, and with longer oil to boot. I simplified what I had been using, which is my original Hy-Road and a Code Red, as well as a plastic ball, in 14 pound weight. I was looking into either the Hy-Road Nano or Code X, though am curious as to what would be better with my game, as I have around 14 mph ball speed and 340 revs. I must say, I am kinda favoring the Hy-Road Nano from everyone I have talked to, but am curious as to the performance of the Nano cover, as I am more familiar with the RS2, and know that to have excellent longevity and ease of maintenance. How does the Nano's NRG coverstock compare to R2S solid in terms of ease of maintenance and longevity? I thought of including the Idol in this comparison as well, but from what I have read and heard, that thing seems to be a real beast, when I am looking more for a "blender." Or am I overthinking this? Sorry for being a bit redundant, but I know this is the forum for serious bowling discussion, and I trust the wisdom you all have shared with me -previously. I have the Hy-road Nano and would highly recommend for heavy oil for someone who is rev dominant. The performance of the Nano cover is very predictable and has no problem cutting through oil. With regards to coverstock maintenance, I'm slightly more speed dominant and given the high rg of the core, I need to scuff the surface every few games, or it be a little too clean for my liking. But given your revs and speed that may not be such a bad thing. Overall the Nano is a versatile piece and should give you plenty of use outside of just heavy oil.

I have a Hy- nano and I found it to be way stronger then advertised. It's also a 2 piece ball so the thicker cover should last longer. As with any sanded shell oil ball it will need more maintenance. I also found that it takes cover adjustment very well with no ill effect. sanded,polished back to sanded with no loss in performance.

The Hyroad Nano goes sideways.  If you want a smooth early ball for oil, this ain't it.

I see the Hyroad Nano being used on longer, flatter patters where you need a lot of motion in not a lot of space.  I use it in my challenge league but it does't have a prayer on a house shot.  This is because I get around the side of the ball ... if you have a higher track, it may be ok .... but there are WAY better choices n the Storm/Roto line.

Nano and sideways don't belong in the same sentence together.

He did qualify his statement by saying he’s high rotation. He didn’t specify his specific release specs, but it’s very possible he has a release that can make nearly anything turn sideways.

My A game is higher rotation as well, and I own a Drive with the R2S Nano. While I wouldn’t call it “sideways”, I get surprising pop out of it on THS.
