Title: Hy-Road or Infinite Theory
Post by: Shaggy on August 02, 2011, 09:07:22 AM
I have read many positive reviews on the Hy-Road and Infinite Theory.  Which ball is more effective on carrydown?

Guess it would depend on the surface prep you made on each ball. I have an Infinite, and as of yet, I have seen no quit on carrydown. I have not thrown a Hy-Road however.

Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, but it still holds the universe together.

Both good balls.  Don't forget to throw in the fact that the HY-Road has a symmetric core whereas the Infinite Theory has a Asymmetric core.  My understanting is that symmetric cores tend to be smoother and predictable but the asymmetric cores can be tweaked more by the MB placement to fine tune the shape you want.   I will defer to others that can shed more light on this.

I have a HY-Road with a 2,000 abralon surface which I consider a benchmark ball because of it's predictability (carrydown included).
