I drilled this up 3 7/8 pin to pap with the cg out and we put a small weight hole in thumb quadrant and ended up with 5/8 side.. The pin is up and just to the right of the ring finger.. I would classify my style as a stroker and throw the ball about 14 MPH with medium revs.. I left it at box finish..
I was able to use this beast for the first time today in my travel league. The lanes where slicker on the inside than I remember this house being in the past. The outside part of the lane was pretty dry so in practice I just moved left on the approach and threw the ball between 17 and 20 out to 3 or 4 and the ball took an absolute left turn. I struck every shot in practice. I had a great look the 1st 2 games and then had to start moving deeper and deeper on the lane which normally means I start leaving alot of 10 pins. The thing is, this did affect my carry at all. This ball carried well from the far outside angles as well as from the inside. I probably should have put it up for game 5 and 6 but I just couldn't stop throwing the ball!! LOL..
I shot 1300+ for 6 games with it and it could have been better if not for several missed (user error) spares..
It is a VERY strong pearl ball and not that it really matters, but is a very nice looking ball rolling down the lane..
Just for comparison, the 2D is about 3-4 boards stronger than my Cell Pearl and 5 or more boards stronger then my Hy-Road that's drilled very similar..
All in all I was very impressed with this new release from Hank and the boys.. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.. I can't wait to use it some more this coming week..
