I was given an undrilled Power Charge for a Barely used Cherry Bomb, and i drilled the ball last saturday. I used it sunday morning, and then once during the week. And then when i took the ball out of my bag friday to clean it I noticed a hair-line crack going from the pin heading south around my left insert. I thought "ah great, i hope it doesn't get worse." the ball sat in my bag until sunday and when i took the ball out again there was now another crack going in the opposite direction towards my other insert, and the bridge has cracked as well. My pin is about 1 inch above my bridge, and i use master insert glue, i have a standard 1/4 bridge and pitching of 3/8 and 3/8. i mentioned this to my friend to who i traded the ball with and he said that our distributor has had a lot of charges crack from the last shippment and this ball he traded me was actually a replacement ball from one that had cracked as well. his ball was drilled pin under bridge and it cracked the same way.

I've had balls crack in the past but never this fast. even with columbia, they would at least last a month.I don't abuse my equipment, and i drill everything myself in my proshop. the ball hasn't been exposed to any extreme tempuratures.

Any other reports of cracking in the power charge in particular?
