Most people don't remember but the IQ tour solid is basically a remake of the early 2000's Tour Power. Probably a different shell, but low rg, low diff, and the tour power was very similar on the conditions back then. It also became something of a cult favorite, but never widely popular like the IQ of today. The problem with that ball was that it was marketed as a strong ball and came with a factory 600 grit sanding. It quickly lane polished, but was a much better ball for tougher conditions when it did. I remember using it in a senior masters in Tucson. One of the Storm staffers hadn't even seen it at the time. However, a former tour pro was crossing with me and also using it. We both made the cut playing way out on a very low scoring condition that took minus to make the cut.
Sorry for the ramble, but the point is the IQ Tour will resurrect itself again, even if discontinued. There is always a place for a low rg, low diff solid
