It technically wouldn't' be identical, but you'd be hard pressed to see a difference, especially on THS....if you put the same surface on a Crux and a Crux Pearl, they would be so close in reaction that you wouldn't see a difference. Most of this is marketing to sell you the latest ball...of course the company doesn't want to tell you this.

well there's that and different color options.
I'm liking my GB2 more over my crux for the fresh so gonna work on the crux cover to clear the heads better. this ball is a lame duck with early friction. to be expected ...

My crux Pearl has a quicker and more angular transition than my polished crux.

Close yes. Same no.

Storms factory finish will make the crux pearl more angular no matter what.  The question is, how different would they be if they both came polished from the plant...
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

I agree...I was speaking as if both balls were surfaced the exact same.  In that case, I doubt there would be a noticeable difference.

No.

Because the addition of the pearlizing additive changes the physical structure of the coverstock.

I'm thinking this as well until someone can prove differ.. to my eye the Crux has a bunch of pearl in it. yes it may be slightly smoother but I can't see it being much different.

The original crux is an erg hybrid cover stock. Of course it has pearl in it....

I might pick up a crux pearl, but my real curiousity is what else storm will release in the near future for the premier line.

He didn't ask if it was close, nor did he ask how close. He asked if it would be the same. The answer is no, it will not.

In a world where the balls are so strong that the difference between 3000 grit and 4000 grit can make all the difference, the difference between hybrid and pearl can make all the difference as well.
