Storm pearl comparisons
« on: September 21, 2007, 01:07:30 AM »
Hey br nation, I am currently looking into buying a pearl to compliment my solid ball , a Columbia 300 action max which i currently use polished because of my stats which i will discuss in a moment,

I am looking into either the domination, agent, spitfire or t-road pearl. I want the ball to be able to get down the lane but not die out, be continuous and be more angular than my current ball.

My stats are av: 206, speed: 12mph, rev rate: med-high, track: low(but i can modify my release to change it to higher for heavier oil) 14 pounds only, also i feel most comfortable playing deep into the lanes standing around the 25th board over between the 3rd and 4th arrow.

Thanks in advance!

As far as a recommendation based on your info I would suggest the T-road pearl,  it gos very long and is angular off the dry.  As far as opening up the lanes,  I have been using a Shift that I have had for two weeks now and this ball was made for playing deep (25 to 30th board) when the lanes break down.  The shift is easy to read and very smooth off the break, plus it crushes the pins!!  Hope this helps.

I think that the T-Road Pearl or the Agent would be good choices, but I would give a slight edge to the T-Road Pearl because the new R2S coverstock isn't as jumpy as the original Reactor.

Hey Gene, i'm gonna have to agree with the t-road pearl. Its a bit more continious and the domination i've seen like the one tyler from southern has isn't very impressive.

I would go with the agent. You have slow ball speed and med-high revs with a low track. I think the lower RG  for the lower track adjust the cover to whatever needs you have. The TR Pearl or spitfire won't hurt you either. All very good balls and fit in the spot you have described.
