anyone have both of these? what difference in reaction do you see and would you think it would be too much overlap having both?

The reactions are really not that close. The Mutant rolls a lot more like a Virtual Gravity than an Invasion. It might be a touch smoother and stronger though.

The Invasion rolls quite a bit earlier than either. In fact, if anything, I'd tell you that the Invasion rolls a lot more like a Siege, but it does kick harder off the spot.

I have had both but for me the invasion handles more oil and carrys much better, and the mutant was more angular and rolled much better.  The Mutant just simply didnt carry.  Granted the mutant is at 2000 grit, and the Invasion is 4000 grit. It would depend upon how much equipment you actually use, if you only use 3-4 balls you may see some overlap, but if you have 10 or so it would be a great piece to acquire to give you a different look when you need it.  I have too much equipment and bowl around so nothing really overlaps because i see a different characteristic from each ball house to house.  If you bowl on a heavier patterns go with the invasion, otherwise the mutant is pretty much a beefier orignal cell IMO.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]

I don't like that analogy for the Mutant Cell. The Cell had a much earlier and rolly ball reaction than the Mutant Cell does (and obviously wasn't as strong). To me, the reactions between the two aren't even remotely close to the same.
