Title: Invasion vs Theory
Post by: Shaggy on July 21, 2011, 01:36:05 PM
How do these two balls compare given similar drillings and coverstock prep?

You will not see me on the PBA Tour, but I love the game!!!

I am one of the few that can speak for both balls, etc. The reaction is so close in these two that its hard to say which is which... The both are very early reving pieces, that can be used on either medium or some heavy conditions. There is however a slight difference in maybe length of the two balls. I think personally that the Invasion goes just a tad longer than the Theory but they both however roll off the spot the same.

If you are deciding to buy one or the other, then Id go with whichever you can find cheaper, etc. Some of course may disagree with what I have said. These balls are becoming a little older now, so you may can find one real cheap on ebay, etc. Good luck, John

I agree with the Invasion being a tad bit longer. I do however feel that the Theory is more angular and handles a bit more volume. It's a weird combination with my Theory, it picks up relatively early but is pretty strong off the spot. I love both though. Invasion gets a little more us, being that it pushes a little easier and is a bit more controlled.

i can speak for the invasion. I do like this piece. for me it worked best at 1k abralon. nice smooth roll to it. you can find them really cheap now. it is a great medium-medium heavy ball.playing the right lines it can used well on heavy volumes. this ball does hit very hard. i have mine drilled pin next to ring with cg kicked out a touch.
