Storm IQ Tour AI review, with video
« on: March 14, 2025, 04:17:16 PM »
Lane Conditions: Medium Oil
Typical Conditions: 44' house shot
Type of Lane: All Synthetic
Weight of bowling ball: 15
Surface of bowling ball: Factory/Box - Power Edge
Likes: Predictability, Apple Cider Donut

My Level Layout: 45 x 3 3/4" x 65 or 3 3/4" x 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"

The IQ Tour AI is one of the quickest reacting IQ Tour balls I've ever thrown, very clean and very quick.

Conditions I have used the IQ Tour AI on: 44' House shot, the IQ Tour AI allowed me to play just inside the track with confidence it would get through cleanly and provide a strong backend reaction.

Where the IQ Tour AI fits in my bag: The IQ Tour AI would be a good step down from the Equinox, if that ball starts getting a little lazy down lane and I can't or don't want to keep moving left. It is also a solid step up from balls like the IQ Tour and IQ Tour Ruby.

When I use the IQ Tour AI: I will likely use the IQ Tour AI on a lower volume pattern or after the lanes have transitioned a bit and other equipment like the Equinox, Physix Blackout start to get lazy down lane or start to hook too early.

Overall, I think the IQ Tour AI has one of the strongest backend reactions of the IQ Tour line but can also be a little sensitive to oil and speed so will prefer to use it when there is a little less oil on the lane. Check out my video below which is a comparison to the Ruby. I had to stand 5-6 boards farther left with the IQ Tour AI compared to the IQ Tour Ruby.
