IQ Tour Layout Adjustments
« on: September 24, 2015, 06:07:31 PM »
I rememver a while back when the IQ Tours first came out, people were saying they were duds. I remember some people mentioning surface adjustments and layout adjustments to make it react properly. I just wanted to hear some feedback on adjusting layouts for the ball to work properly. I had one before that was more of a skid hard arc when it wasn't around 1000 or 2000 abralon, but it also had a weight hole up.

I am interest also....mine is 45 x 4 3/8 x 45 no hole.....just starting using in league this month. Doesn't seem to read early enough for the first game. Might take the surface down some.

Same issue I'd been having across the line.  I drilled one with a 4 inch pin and a P3 hole and it still got down the lane too easy, but 2k or 3k grit should take care of that.  Differential is just super low for a ball with that strong of a cover.

i use my tour solid only on sport and my first one was a 3 3/4" pin up at @500/2000 which was actually better on house shots. on sport it wasnt really strong enough to play out by the gutter but grabbed too early to play the track area and in.

my second one is much better on sport. my pro shop guy suggested going shorter with the pin so it would pick up earlier and be a little flatter down lane. we went 3"x40* and like a P2/2.5 hole at 500/2000. this allows me to close my angles play farther out including up the ditch. much better as a fresh/benchmark type look

2000 Ab Pad on hand for tonight in case I see the same reaction that I saw last week.
Should be enough.
