I think at the 2017 PWBA US Women's Open, we seen just how great the IQ Tour Solid is at getting..9.. I felt like I was watching myself bowl league with it when the 7 or 10 pin was still standing.

When it stops making me money, I'll stop beating off to it. I have 3 IQ Tours, and they have all paid for themselves multiple times over. My carry is exceptional with it. I tend to attribute that to my higher rev rate, higher axis rotation release that can make other balls too snappy to carry consistently.

The IQ Tour is the greatest 9 pin ball of all time for people that shouldn't be throwing an IQ Tour. For the rest of us, it's a godsend.

On the flip side, I bought a Torrent at the beginning of the summer, hearing that it was similar to the IQ Tour but better. It'll be up on the Facebook marketplace sometime this weekend.

Then I guess you can go join Jeff Richgels and not use the IQ Tour. Your choice.
For my money, and a lot of other people, it is still standing next to the Hyroad as an all time great because it gets 10 pins on the first try.....A LOT.
Scoring pace is just a measuring stick against the field, and I don't care which ball I brought that helps me keep pace, that is the one I'm using. If it isn't the IQ Tour, I will move on to the next orb, but quite often the IQ is my choice at some point. It has a place in my bag, and will keep it until it doesn't earn it's place. Same as the rest.

When practicing or bowling for fun I find them quite enjoyable actually (had a 190 clean earlier this week, often a fact of life for stroker urethane enthusiasts, urethane on THS is not that much easier than sports patterns for me at least).  Much prefer a sub 200 clean than over 200 but missed a single pin spare at least when there isn't money on the line.  That said have my reactive line up for when I have to string em and yes sub 200 clean with reactives on THS then sucks.

The lady I sponsor and will be headed out on the PWBA Tour for 2018 only uses Storm and Roto. After our latest buying binge, she currently has 20+ rocks drilled. The only duplicate ball in her bags....2 IQ Tour Solids.

When we bowl locally, on house shots, there are plenty of better options than IQ Tours and most of the time she doesn't even take them with us. However, when she sees Sport patterns and flatter patterns, the IQs are the first ones out of the bag to help her read the pattern. Her original HyRoad is not far behind.

Well I do use and like the IQ Tour on a house shot and there you go.... Highly polished, play outside 10, and it carries great. I like it as a step down from my DD Trick as they both have a similar shape that I like on the house shot where I bowl. My question for all those that have commented what would be a ball with similar shape that would be a good ball down from the IQ Tour. I like my Ascent pearl when the lanes are really dry but looking for something in between the 2 balls.

  Roto Grips Hustle INK is the perfect step down as it give damn near the exact same shape as the IQ.
