Keep trying to replace my aging IQ Tour but cannot find another ball as good as the Tour. As long as the shot is outside of 10 , ball hits like a tank. So smooth. Miss a bit right ball never jumps off the dry. Tug ball a touch, ball just glides into the pocket.I have tried many times to replace Tour but cannot find another ball as good as this one. Only problem is on the heavy stuff ball just doesn't quite have enough pop in back end to consistently strike. Anything outside of 10 this ball is money in the bank. Will be buying at least 1 more of these before they stop making them. Every once in a while a ball matches up so good to your game it is impossible to get rid of ball. This is my ball for that.

They will not quit making this one

I second it, I have them all, and they fill the middle of my arsenal so we'll, so smooth and predictable, good pop with great control, for so many different conditions; May be the best middle of the road performance balls of all time. Their that good.

Yup. If the Hy-Road has stuck around this long it's hard to see the !Q Tour going away anytime soon.
To be honest those two balls are probably all anybody needs on a consistent house shot. Heavy emphasis on consistent. In my area it varies quite a bit at multiple houses anywhere between (really) wet and (really) dry.

My 11 year old Hybrid Dirty Bomb rolls like the IQ Tour. Honestly if people kept most their ~10 year old HP solids, they would be that smooth consistent rolling balls now a days.
-
This is how I feel about my Ride. Best bowling ball to ever meet my hand. I swear it matches up to my game and the conditions I bowl on perfectly. I just may cry when they discontinue it. Should probably order a case of them

Uh... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you might want to check Storm's ball page.

The Ride had been discontinued.

No! That is my buzz kill of the day :(

I find it hard to believe that the Hybrid Dirty Bomb rolls like the IQ Tour. Balls that old don't perform as well as an IQ Tour especially when those are not brand new.

Hmmmm. I believe it! It's a combination of the ball's nature, as in core to cover reaction; the chemical make-up of said cover being older; and the amount of wear and tear on that cover, combined with oil consumption......which all add to the smoothness of reaction that you can get. I have a number of older pieces that mimic the reactions of brand new balls on today's marketplace. This is not uncommon!
A hook-monster from days gone by is a smooth, controllable piece in today's oils!

I did not like my pin-down IQ Tour so I replaced it with a pin-up IQ Tour. The pin-up IQ Tour has been much better. The core diff is way too tame for my specs - I needed to juice up the response time to make it suitable for my game.
-
I'm not saying they aren't good for you, but I feel the IQ Tour is better than that stuff. I've had tons of older stuff with the mentioned prerequisites and they don't compare. Plus, I don't thin the IQ Tour is super smooth, but to each of their own.

I agree 2handed, this ball has some serious flip to it (for me at least) for such a control ball; as I mentioned earlier, it's one of the best mid-level performance line of all-time.

Rumor is the IQ TOUR SOLID will be discontinued Feb.1 2017....Storm does everything by numbers sold, and the IQ dropped below that line in late fall.
Hope it's not true, considering this is the best all around ball I've ever owned.

spoke to my former staff rep this week and he said that it is not going anywhere, along with the HyRoad. Time will tell I guess.

Any update to the rumors of the IQ Tour being discontinued?
