I find it a bit odd that my Secret Agent comes back to me with two sets of flare rings. I'm not complaining though. I've already shot a few honor scores with it since i got it about a month ago.

It must be a storm thing cause i have decent hand and my Vertigo used to flare what looked like twice. does it almost look like a hour glass. thats what mine did and still hit great.

What do you call two sets of flare rings? There can only be one track, and normally this track intersects twice - just under the thumb hole, and on the back side, which is caused by the core's migration towards its stable end rolling axis. Anything else would make me wonder - also if you do not see ANY intersection, which would mean that you'd have some kind of helicopter release and the ball rather twists than rolls.
Any pictures? I am curious

what you can do is take a grease pencil and rub a inch wide section perpendicular to your track. Throw the ball and you will be able to better estimate your flare.
2 rings isn't too uncommon, especially on skid snap balls.

no, its not two rings Valentino. I end up with two sets of flare rings on the ball, and they do intersect dizzyfugu. I do not have a helicopter release, think more like Pete Weber. Not exactly like him, but very similar.I guess i've just never had a ball that flares this much before. The rings start next to my middle finger and end up just under my thumb.
-
that is exactly what mine did and I have a really good release. there is nothing wrong with your shot. mine did the same thing and im a 228 bowler so its not you. the vertigo is my only ball that did that. it intersected right under the thumb hole and went back to flairing.

How is the ball drilled? Could it be drilled very strong, so that it, with some hand, just over-flares? I am really curious what this looks like...

Dizzyfugu, here is a pic of how its drilled.

I don't think its over-flaring, and i love how hard the ball rolls and hits, I just thought it was a bit odd to see two intersecting sets of flare rings.

That is a really strong layout though.

I know. And thats what i wanted.

Well I would hope you drilled a ball the way you wanted haha. I'm just saying that's probably why you're getting the flare you described.
-
It has nothing to do with the strong drill pattern on your ball. I drilled mine with a 2 inch pin from pap and it has two sets of flare rings that intersect.

if that is your zip would you please take the ball to the pro shop at Delta Bowl so I can see it and maybe explain what is happening!
