Code X and Phaze II

Anyone thrown the two in comparison and seen if they shape up differently enough to be in the same sport shot bag?

They both seem to be on the smoother side, but I feel like an X would blend out the end of the pattern a bit better when my Phaze II is a bit over/under.

I'm also wondering if I should just work the surface more on the Phaze II, but that X has that dark ball roll down the lane that I love, like with a Hy-Road Pearl look.

I have seen them both!  I own one the Phaze II.  Undrilled.

From what I have seen in many different hands the Code X seems to be a very matched up ball for all sorts of styles, from crankrs to strokers.  Very squared up to the pocket for many styles while dull.  Many liken to the Vertigo but though the Vertigo was great it seems the CodeX might even be a smidge greater

The Phase II on the other hand seems to be strong cover ball with speed dominant players being able to fight off the cover...just what my eyes seem to see.

The Phaze II core is not flippy and the ball seems to only really get flippy when one goes to rev heavy speed soft mode like Jason Belmonte seems to do with this ball.

I am still backing off drilling mine,,,as I am that soft speed guy.

Both very good balls just some observed differences.

I think you can get both to react similarly.  The biggest difference I have seen is the maintenance on the Phaze II is significantly more than on the Code X.  If you aren't the type to be overly proactive on the maintenance of the covers of your ball, then the R2S on the Code X is your choice.

I day grab the Code X. Sire the Phaze II is versstile, but there are some difference that could mean everything for you.

Have had Phase 2 for over a year.  To me it is somewhat unique.  It has a different look than many solids.  Versatile in some ways yet condition specific in others . I had great look playing way right on a 38 foot pattern, and have had luck following the oil pretty deep at nationals in last years team event.  Other times it doesnt push down lane very well or loses continuation.  Definitely not my first choice on really long patterns regardless of surface prep.  Haven't thrown Code x but crossed with a friend using it.  It definitely pushes better,  than phase,  probably closer to my hyroad nano, even though way different cores
