Title: Just got my new Razor Wire
Post by: LuckyLefty on August 07, 2004, 08:12:59 AM
Great looking piece.  Can't wait to throw.

Hey the Hotwire I got was not bad looking either!

As the shot seems to be outside on the left with biting midlanes I'm debating pointing mass bias at thumb or stacking.  Thinking at thumb with a moderately strong pin.

Basic label leverage almost!  A little weaker pin.

I'm just finding that anything kicked out is not working around here at all!
But labels and labels slightly down seem to be the cats meow.

Only concern on this one is I"m worried about too much skid due to skiddy synthetics and what I hear is a pretty clean coverstock.

Until they put out tourney oil then that's a different story! Kick outs are working.

Any ideas are dwelled on.

Hey,  anyone know why there is not a mass bias indicator on this one?

It looks like there is an offset density wedge from pictures shown.

Hey LL,

I'm not into Storm all that much, but I do know that not all balls have a marked mass bias. Some say it is because the bias in these balls is not a strong enough influence to be a major factor like it is on the X-Factor series.

On balls like this it is generally accepted that to find the mass bias you draw a line from the pin, through the c.g. and find a point 6 3/4 inches along this line. That is the "supposed" mass bias on these balls.

I got mine from a buddy and can't put it down.  Very smooth up front with a nice arc on the back and plenty of hit.  First time I threw it I rolled about six games and never shot under 210.  Best part is it was a gift!  I agree with Brian the coverstock on this ball does seem to resist oil, and it is durable as well.  I haven't thrown much Storm equipment but this one has me ready to try some more.  Just ordered a Triple X Xtreme for a another friend.

LL,

I got one too. (Based on the reviews).  I plan on using it as a second ball to my new xxxextreme when the shot breaks down.  I can't wait to try it. Good Luck.
