Layout for X FACTOR ACE
« on: October 29, 2004, 05:28:13 AM »
Just got my new ACE in I am wondering what layout I should go with.  I have a lot of speed and moderate turn on the ball.  The only problem I face is that current lane conditions I bowl in.  The left side is more or less an oasis.  I can throw the ball out to the fifth board and hit the hole all day.  However, the lanes turn into the sahara after the second game and if you get outside of five and try to swing the lane.  It either one never touches the left side of the head pin. Or two hangs wide left and leaves a little nasty gift for you on the lane.

I guess what I am asking is how do I combat the outside with this ball. i would like to play a more of a swing then anything but willing to go with a layout that is more down and in.  I dont "bang on it" but I can when I have to and score pretty decent if that helps

Thanks

If your lanes are an oasis or desert-like, you bought the wrong ball.  The Ace sounds like a ball made for opening up a wide open medium+ oil shot.
