Hell, if he can get it, more power to him. I bought a Marvel Maxx Gold partly because of how it looked, partly because of the core and cover on it, but mainly because of the rarity of it here in the states. I wanted something fairly unique, and I got it. Lots of bowlers ask what it is, and when I tell them, they say "How much?", and when I tell them, they just shake their heads.
As to the reaction, it's great once the shot opens up a bit, and there's still some volume in the middle. It's great once my heavier oil pieces start hitting a bit flat, but the skid/flip pieces are a bit too long. I consider it money well spent, and it's already started paying for itself. I love mine.
