Hy-Road versus Reign of Fire
« on: February 10, 2010, 05:07:39 AM »
I currently use a Hy-Road as my benchmark ball. I just purchased a Reign of Fire and wondering 'overall' how much more I should expect out of the Reign of Fire, if I go with a similar drilling, and staying with the OOB finish.

My Hy-Road is drilled 3-3/8" stacked leverage, with a 4000grit cover (no polish), and my stats:

Left hand
Rev rate = 250
Speed = 15.5

Well, you are lucky I have the same set up on both balls, and use the Hy-Road as my benchmark ball.

With the Hy-Road at 2000 with no polish it's about 8-11 boards weaker than an OOB Reign of Fire depending on the house. If it's a flooded house shot with no dry boards out past 5 the ball is 8 boards weaker than the ROF. If there is movement outside of 5 then the ROF is 10 boards sometimes stronger than that.

My Stats:
Right Hand
Rev rate = 395
Speed = 17.5

You can click on the link below and check out my videos because I shot the ROF and Hy-Road video on the same pattern on the same day, but realize that when I shot the video the Hy-Road was 1500 w/polish.

Motogp69: Thanks for the reply and video. This gives me a good idea and look at what I can expect.
