Who says old(er) balls don't strike? Core Power LRG

278 going for 11 in a row with my Core Power LRG tonight.  This ball is so old to me it still has my name engraved on it.  LOL

Still early in the season, but that is the high scratch game for that league at the moment.

Lane conditions leave something to be desired in this league.  Older women bowl on most of our lanes earlier in the day, so there is a thin volume of oil carried down the center portion of the lane due to their hard shelled polyester and urethane balls.

Light(er) load, solid particle seemed to work great for me tonight.

Yeah, the charm of Pro-Thane. Still have my Eraser Particle Pearl (Light load), and love it for carrydown on medium conditions.

I would NEVER say anything against the older stuff...

...I still cary a Lightning Flash with me to tournaments.  I've got a few others stashed away too.

The bowling companies are in trouble if the masses would ever wake up and realize that they could score well with anything produced in the last 20 years.  If the bowler has a modicum of talent, you can extend that window of time by a factor of a few decades...

Man I loved that ball.  The banana monster I used to call it.  I had 2 of them and I've yet to reproduce that look I had with one (Arsenal Aggressive was close). The low RG and particle made for a super smooth ball that hit.  Several of the Storm staffers were suprised that I liked the ball so much because of it's early roll.

I have a storm Thunder Road Pearl the ORIGINAL one and I can't find anything that looks or carries like it on the lane, I will not give it up.

Yeah, Pro-Thane was good stuff, had lots of scores with my El Nino 2000 and El Nino X-IT.  Older balls are awesome, most are pretty controllable but still pretty strong on these newer oil conditions.
